What this tool does

This text reverser flips your text in four different ways. It can reverse every character, the order of the words, the order of the lines, or the letters inside each word. It is useful for word games, puzzles, creating mirrored text, checking palindromes, and quickly reordering lists.

How to use it

  1. Type or paste your text into the first box.
  2. Choose what to reverse: the whole text, the order of the words, the order of the lines, or the letters inside each word.
  3. Copy the result.

The four options

Why it handles special characters well

Many simple reversers break accents, Arabic diacritics and emoji because they flip individual code units. This tool reverses by visible character, called a grapheme, so a letter and its combining marks, or an emoji built from several parts, always stay together. Your text is processed in your browser and is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the four reverse options?

Whole text flips every character, so "abc def" becomes "fed cba". Order of words flips the word order, giving "def abc". Order of lines flips the lines top to bottom. Letters inside each word reverses each word in place, giving "cba fed".

Does it work on Arabic text?

Yes. Characters are reversed by visible letter, so Arabic diacritics stay attached to their letters and emoji stay in one piece. Word and line reversal work normally for right-to-left text.

Why does reversed Arabic look different on screen?

Arabic is written right to left and letters change shape depending on their neighbours. After reversing, the letters join in the new order, so the result is a mirror of the original and may look unusual.

Can I use this to check for palindromes?

Yes. Reverse the whole text and compare it with the original. If both match, ignoring spaces and punctuation, the phrase is a palindrome.
