What the case converter does
This tool changes the capitalization of any text in one step. Paste your text, choose a style from the list and the result appears instantly, ready to copy. It is useful for fixing a paragraph typed with Caps Lock on, formatting headlines, tidying spreadsheet data or preparing names for code.
How to use it
- Type or paste your text in the first box.
- Pick a style under Convert to.
- Press Copy to copy the result.
The available styles
- UPPER CASE makes every letter a capital.
- lower case makes every letter small.
- Title Case capitalizes the first letter of each word.
- Sentence case capitalizes the first letter after each full stop, question mark, exclamation mark or new line.
- camelCase and PascalCase join words together with capitals marking each new word.
- snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE join words with underscores or hyphens.
- tOGGLE cASE swaps every capital to small and every small letter to a capital.
Example: “hello big world” becomes “Hello Big World” in title case, “helloBigWorld” in camelCase and “hello_big_world” in snake_case.
Good to know
The programming styles work line by line, so you can convert a whole list of names at once. Punctuation is removed when words are joined. Arabic letters have no case, so they are left untouched while English words around them are converted. Everything runs in your browser and your text is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between title case and sentence case?
Title case capitalizes the first letter of every word, like "The Quick Brown Fox". Sentence case capitalizes only the first letter of each sentence, like "The quick brown fox."
Does it work on Arabic text?
Arabic has no upper or lower case, so Arabic letters stay unchanged. Any English words mixed into the text are converted as usual.
What are camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case used for?
They are naming styles for programming. camelCase and PascalCase are common for variables and classes, snake_case for Python and databases, and kebab-case for URLs and CSS.
Does title case skip small words like "of" and "the"?
No. This converter capitalizes every word, which is the simplest and most predictable rule. Edit small words by hand if your style guide requires it.
